Tarzan’s Treehouse

Tarzan’s Treehouse is located in Adventureland between the Indiana Jones Adventure and Pirates of the Caribbean attractions. It opened in 1962 as the Swiss Family Treehouse and was based on the Disney film Swiss Family Robinson. With the popularity of the Disney film Tarzan, it was rethemed Tarzan’s Treehouse in 1999.

Your self-guided tour begins by climbing to the top of a tree stump. From here, you will be getting some amazing views of Adventureland and Frontierland. This is the highest place in Disneyland that you can access by yourself. Continue across the rope bridge to another treetop, with Tarzan and Jane’s treehouse made with pieces from their shipwreck. From here you will wind your way down the tree to Base Camp, located at the bottom of the tree that was left behind by Tarzan and Jane. Fun activities for young children like a magical lantern, musical pots, and climbing vines. Be sure not to miss Mrs. Potts and Chip from Beauty and the Beast.
