Snow White’s Scary Adventures was located in Fantasyland and was inspired by Disney’s animated film “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.” The ride took guests on a journey through the story of Snow White but with a slightly darker and more intense tone than other Fantasyland attractions.
Upon entering the attraction, visitors would board a mine cart-style ride vehicle that accommodated a small number of passengers. The ride began with scenes depicting Snow White’s initial encounter with the Evil Queen and her subsequent flight through the haunted forest. As the ride continued, guests would pass through various scenes depicting iconic moments from the movie. These scenes included the Evil Queen’s transformation into the Old Hag, Snow White’s encounter with the seven dwarfs in their cottage, and the climactic battle between Snow White and the Old Hag.
The attraction incorporated dark and eerie elements, with spooky music, dim lighting, and surprises throughout the ride. The Evil Queen and the Old Hag were particularly prominent characters, appearing multiple times to heighten the sense of suspense and danger. Despite its scary moments, the ride still maintained a sense of Disney magic and charm. The scenes were brought to life through colorful sets, animatronic figures, and special effects, all aimed at immersing guests in Snow White’s enchanting but treacherous world.
The classic dark ride was closed from March 2020 thru April 2021 and transitioned to “Snow White’s Enchanted Wish”, a less dark and scary ride.
