40 years ago today Disneyland opened its newest E-ticket attraction, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. It is as popular today as it was when it opened in 1979. Dubbed the “Wildest Ride in the Wilderness”, this mining theme attraction is based on a runaway mine train, speeding through the mountains with quick drops and tight turns.
