The Disneyland Resort has officially canceled plans to build the 4th themed resort hotel in the Downtown Disney District. The plans were put on hold due to Disneyland wanting to move the resort hotel 100 yards from the original plans. Rather than approving the change, the City of Anaheim elected to deny the plans. In spite of The City of Anaheim playing hardball, Disneyland wouldn’t have canceled the hotel plans completely unless they had bigger and better plans in the works. At least Earl of Sandwich has since reopened in the original location. On the other hand, there is no word on whether the other businesses that closed will reopen or not.
